We are independent and responsible for our own funding, so we are seeking grants and donations from individuals, organisations and other bodies to cover our annual operational costs. These costs include:-- hall rental, insurance, NACCC Membership fee, Data Protection Registration fee, Costs for a PO Box address, phone costs, computer and stationery costs, postage, replacement or new purchase of toys, consumable items for the children (paints, crayons, etc), cleaning materials, staff training & expenses, first aid and health & safety items, refreshments, printing, signage .... How can you help us? 1. Come forward as a Volunteer. It is known from existing volunteers that the work is very rewarding, enjoyable and not difficult. You would join a team of other volunteers in Harpenden on a rota arrangement so you would not need to come too often. Volunteers will be given a Criminal Records Bureau (police) check, and you will receive appropriate training for the work. 2. Join us as a member for a small annual subscription, attend members' meetings, vote at AGMs, and find out what we are doing, and maybe help on the Committee or become a Trustee. Perhaps you could give us a donation or give on a regular basis (gift aided if possible), or: 4. If you belong to or work for an organisation perhaps you would consider that organisation giving a grant or gift to help us do this valuable work in your community.
